Being successful in life means: laughing a lot. Gaining the love of children. Bearing the betrayal of false friends. Making the world a better place, as it was before we were born into it. Improving the social conditions in some way or other. Helping a person to become healthier. Simply knowing that a life breathes more easily since you have been alive: that is success.
With all the deprivation in the world we had to decide where to make our lasting contribution of social involvement. That was not an easy decision. In the end we decided to focus our help on those who are frequently the most helpless: children.

Our philosophy of giving and taking is the foundation on which the Bosseler & Abeking Foundation is based. For philosophies must not only be expressed, but above all need to be put into practice. One more reason not to shirk our social responsibilities. At the centre of our work are the children as the weakest links, but also the hope for the future of each society. Even though the need often appears to be immeasurable, every bit of help, however small, is still capable of bringing a little more light into the darkness.
